A Voice Over Production, Training
and Recording Studio

About Us

"Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself."
- George Bernard Shaw

Madeleine Wild, MA
Director

Originally a trained actress from New York, with a degree in Theater and Education, I got my start in Voice Over when I created the children's radio show, Hot Air (1978, Sausalito,CA.), which featured actor/comedian Robin Williams.

Moving to LA, I was an associate in a Beverly Hills talent agency (Sandy Roth Ruben), representing writers, actors, comedians and Voice Over artists.
Since 1991 I've been teaching Voice Over classes, directing, producing and performing voices for CD-ROM, commercials, audio books and Voice Over demos in my Sonoma, California recording studio.

New students and working actors from The Bay Area and around the country come to study, consult, take coaching for auditions and have their demo CDs produced here. I like working with individuals, businesses, and organizations. In addition, I enjoy discovering and developing extraordinary professional talent. My experience in entertainment, balanced with a Masters Degree in reading and language arts, has served well to form a unique style of teaching and directing.

He continues to play live gigs and concerts in The San Francisco Bay Area with bands, such as The Barry Melton Band, Ron Thompson and The Resistors, and FritzandBobo.

Madeleine Wild and husband Roy Blumenfeld team together in their professional home-based Sonoma recording studio. They live with their teenage son, Michael (a computer wiz), and their precious Bichon Frise dogs, Puccini and Van GoGo.

"Sounds like fun!" Madeleine Wild's Radio Magic as an education curriculum and program for schools

In 1992, I created Radio Magic for Schools, a research-based program dedicated to supporting language arts, career building skills and inspiring fun in learning for students of all ages, levels, and abilities. Drawing on my experience as a former school teacher and a CD-ROM voice director, I created the program as a radio show that could be incorporated into any school curriculum, for teaching language and communication skills. Using talk show formats, game shows, books and scripts, the purpose is to help improve students' confidence levels in reading, activate their imagination, and raise appreciation for the spoken word.

Jerry Garcia of The Grateful Dead remarked "Sounds like fun!" about the possibility of children creating and producing their own broadcast programs. As board members of the Rex Foundation, Garcia and David Grisman granted Radio Magic's funding for a 1993-94 high school program.

Through subsequent grants—from the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation and San Francisco's WestEd Educational Research Lab — many public schools (elementary through college) in Northern California have enjoyed the benefits of the Radio Magic program.

Over the years, Radio Magic has offered exciting multimedia learning projects that link schools to local businesses; the media and online community, and continues to provide educators with new and exciting teaching tools.
